Data Retention Policy
This policy describes how long Roooster keeps the different categories of data it processes, and how deletion works. It applies in addition to the Roooster Privacy Policy and any applicable Data Processing Addendum.

How deletion works
When an account is closed, access to it ends. In supported app versions, an authenticated account owner can initiate deletion in-app. Email contact@roooster.ai is the fallback if the in-app option is unavailable. Requested account data enters a 30-day recoverable tombstone period, after which permanent removal is targeted within 90 days of the request. This is a processing target, not an instant purge. Roooster may retain the limited information required for legal or tax records, security, fraud prevention, or legal claims for the period required. Those exceptions do not extend to unrelated operational account data.
Exceptions
Where applicable law requires retention, Roooster retains only the required financial, tax, security, or legal-claim information for the required period. Deletion does not mean legally required financial records are erased. Account access and ordinary operational data are handled separately from those limited retention requirements.
